Chef Andres Dangond, affectionately known as Dres, is an ambitious culinary professional who has won international praise for his imaginative approach to cuisine, deeply rooted in his Colombian heritage and diverse culinary adventures. Born and raised in Colombia, his culinary journey began at the early age of 14, in his parents' restaurant. His passion for the culinary arts led him to 3-star Michelin kitchens in Chicago, honing his skills under the guidance of world-renowned chefs such as Grant Achatz at Alinea and Laurent Gras at L20.

As Executive Chef and Director of Culinary Development for Lynx Grills (Middleby), he bridged the worlds of fine dining and high-end cookware design. His chef-driven feedback inspired best-selling accessories, and he later became U.S. Brand Ambassador for Josper charcoal ovens, introducing this tool of Michelin-starred kitchens to home chefs nationwide. His food styling and photography, featured on magazine covers and in 1,000 Food Art and Styling Ideas, attest to his artistic eye.

Yet amid the pursuit of exquisite flavors, Chef came to a life-changing realization: food is more than pleasure—it’s our body’s essential fuel. While there will always be room for the occasional indulgent feast, he found that most meals must prioritize nourishment, energy, and lasting health. This insight led him down the path of nutrition science, where he’s been captivated by how macronutrients, micronutrients, and mindful eating habits power our cells, moods, and performance.

Today, Chef marries his deep culinary heritage with evidence-based wellness strategies. He’s on a mission to translate cutting-edge nutrition research into practical, flavor-forward recipes and daily routines that support sustainable weight management, mental clarity, and overall vitality. As he continues to learn—from registered dietitians, physiologists, and lived experience—he passionately shares every discovery with his community, testing each tip on himself before recommending it to you.
